I am sorry to inform you all that the Leonard Chamber of Commerce Officers & Directors have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Leonard Picnic. This decision was not taken lightly, but ultimately the Leonard Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to do what is best for our community, and your health and safety takes priority over anything else. The Picnic is canceled, but we will still be celebrating Leonard’s birthday with a fireworks display at 9:30 pm Saturday, July 18th from the City Park. We will ask that everyone stay in their vehicles or watch from a distance.

It is almost time for Halloween on the Square in Leonard, TX!! This year’s event will be on Saturday, October 31st from 5 PM to 7 PM. We hope everybody will be able to participate. We would love for your company/organization to set up a candy booth or game. Will you consider participating this year? Please check out the updated rules to ensure the safety of all visitors. The Chamber of Commerce officers and directors met and decided to go forward with an in-person chamber lunch meeting on November 10th at the Leonard Church of Christ. The Friends of the Library will provide the meal. You will be required to wear a mask in the building until you get to your table. The tables will be spread out and hand sanitizer will be available. We will be voting on the the 2021 Chamber officers and directors as well as giving updates on Halloween, Christmas, and the Toy Drive.
We are working to put the Parade together this year with the theme “Home for the Holidays” it will be held Saturday, December 5th at 6 pm All entries will need to have lights. The lineup will begin at 5 pm at the First Baptist Church. The tree lighting will be at 6 pm with the parade to follow. Watch for more updates soon!
